There are many reasons why I love this outfit. One of them is definitely my new blouse. I rarely wear anything this bold which really makes it a stand-out piece in my wardrobe these days.
Not only do I love the color, pattern and material of it (the silky fabric doesn’t only feel but also look good) – I’m also happy with how the cut looks on me. I admit: the cleavage reveals a lot but doesn’t give away too much and the little hidden button makes sure it stays that way. But just in case something decides to slip out, I wore a black lacy bralette underneath, one of the kind that demands to be seen, as is the trend nowadays. I’m sure you know what I mean! 🙂
Another reason for me to obsess over this look is the fact that I was finally able to wear my dark green paper-bag waist trousers for the first time! Admittedly, I only got it a couple days before we took these photos but I was happy to instantly have something that goes along with it. My beloved Chloé cross-body is a piece that has been around for a while now and yet never disappoints. I couldn’t have picked a better color as it is one that matches with almost everything and adds an elegant touch to whatever I’m wearing. It is definitely one of my all time favorites.

And as for the earrings: I recently noticed that I don’t really own any. Why is that? I couldn’t even answer this question to myself! I suppose I simply never was a girl who would pull them off (I was more the chunky necklace kind) and came to the conclusion that this had to change. So I didn’t waste time and went to Forever21 to stock up on some low priced basics like the ones that I’m wearing in this outfit.
Last but not least, the shoes. I know, I know… you can’t really see them here but I can still explain you what they looked like, right? Haha! Well, as the blouse is pretty much the eye-catcher of this look I wanted to go easy on everything else but still wanted to stick to the slightly unusual safari color pattern that I set for myself. So I opted for golden espadrilles which rounded everything up pretty nicely!
