What screams dolce vita more than an aperitivo on a sunny day? It doesn’t matter how busy your life gets, there’s no stressful situation that can’t be cured by a chilled glass of wine. We weren’t exactly stressed that day but an aperitivo can never hurt, right? In these photos I’m wearing two of my favorite 2017 trends: Ruffles and Slippers.

I’m not really quick to adapt to new trends. Thinking about it, I’m more the type who waits and observes until I feel like the time is right for me to jump on the trend-train as well. This doesn’t go for the ruffles (as I’ve been loving them dearly for some time now), but definitely for the slippers. The hype started with Gucci and their trademark princeton luxury slippers that literally cost around 700-900$, depending on the model you pick. Yup, that was a clear no-no for my budget and to be honest I kinda stopped thinking about them until I stumbled over this pair last weekend. But enough of that, I’m planning to write a seperate blog post about the 2 pair that I got! However I need to mention that they’re a completely no-name brand that doesn’t even have their own website so I’ll hunt down an affordable and similar looking pair for you!

Another small treasure of this outfit, though, is my beloved Kate Spade purse. I got it during my exchange year in the US, in Chicago. I’ve used it a ton of times back then but rarely took it out this past year. So while doing some spring cleaning and reorganizing my stuff I decided to take it on this trip and didn’t regret that decision. It’s a color that matches almost everything and somehow only adds up to my summer vibes lately.

Anyway, this was our second day in Bressanone (also read Places | A day in Bressanone) and since we checked most of our to-do’s off the list already, we had some time to relax and simply stroll around town. That obviously included an aperitivo in a wine bar and a quick shooting session here and there. Coming across this bridge (as seen below) we decided to play around with the perspectives and angles a little – and are both really happy about how it turned out!
