Does it sometimes happen to you that you live from day to day, never really looking at the specific date, and then when you do you're shocked by how much time went by? Well... that's sort of what happened to me today. How can it really be mid June already? Summer is at our doorsteps and before we'll realize that it's here it'll already be gone. So I did what every other 20-something woman would do in a situation like that. I took out my laptop and created an online shopping list of things that I definitely need for this upcoming season. Completely legitimate, right? ;)
Anyway, there’s no way I’d keep my findings just to myself! After all, that’d be only half of the fun. Also, simply swipe through the single products below and if you like one simply click on it to be redirected to the shopping site where I found them. Easy enough, right? So let’s get started! 🙂
Cult Gaia, Purse
That purse is… well… cult! Bloggers have been obsessing over this one for the past two years and it has become a summer essential and classic in literally no time. I admit that I wasn’t really intrigued when I first saw it but I came to like it more and more… the only question that remains is if I’ll jump on the mainstream train or if it has already left the station? (pun intended, haha)
Castañer, Wedges
Everyone who knows me a little better also knows that I absolutely love love love wedges as a summer footwear. And this example makes no exception. I love the nude tones and most of all the wrapped band around the ankle. How could you possibly not fall in love with these shoes at first sight? At least I couldn’t help it, haha!
Boohoo, Striped Bikini
We’ve seen many trends of the past coming back lately and somehow, this two piece belongs to that category for me. The red stripes remind me of a beach vacation on the Italian riviera back in the 70s that I obviously never went on – mainly because I wasn’t even born then, but you know what I’m pointing at. The high waisted bottom accentuates the vintage vibe even more and for this very fair price it’s only a question of time until I find it delivered at my doorstep. 😉
Missha, Block Aqua Sun Gel
I don’t know about you guys, but personally I’m not a huge fan of sun screen. The creamy and greasy texture of them makes me feel somehow gross and don’t get me started on sweating in the summer heat. As a result, I’m trying to avoid it as much as I can – until I stumbled across this product. A Sun Screen that’s a gel? Heck to the yeah! Now that’s finally a useful invention. Or maybe it has already been around for a while and I’ve just now been shown the way out of my dark sun-screen-hating cave? (I love painting pictures with words today, did you notice haha) Either way, in my shopping card you go, lovely white tube! My summer has just been saved!
Oskia, Micro Exfoliating Balm
It doesn’t matter if it’s Winter or Summer, if it’s freezing or hot outside. You can trust on my lips being crispier than KFC wings at any time of the year. Which is also the reason why I always make sure to treat them respectively, carrying lip balm with me wherever I go. This product in particular might not be a summer essential for you, but it definitely is for me. I’ve been reading great reviews about it and have been wanting to give it a try for a while now. And I finally will! You an bet on a review coming your way on this one. 🙂
MAC, Extra Dimension Skinfinish Highlighter
Nothing goes about a nice, healthy glow… am I right? Whereas many people get it naturally in summer, I always like to help out a bit by applying some Highlighter. Whether it’s to accentuate my cheeks for work or even my collar bones on the weekend, I love the versatility of the product!
Herbivore Botanicals, Coconut Ultra Hydration Body Oil
As much as I dislike certain types of cremes, I enjoy gels and oils even more. And body oils have many advantages. For one, I use them to hydrate in summer, since I – as already explained above – do not like the feeling of a creamy layer on my skin especially when it’s a sweaty kinda day. Oils don’t really give me that feeling as they set pretty quickly. Besides the lovely smell of coconuts this one also has the advantage that it can work as a tan accelerator. So yup, definitely another buy here.
Le Specs, Sunglasses
You guys, I’m terribly in love with my RayBan Aviator glasses and the many examples that I own show that pretty clearly but I feel like it’s also time to move on somehow and changing my eyewear for one seems like a pretty good beginning! Now shopping for glasses online is always a danger because you never really know just what you’ll look like with them but I feel like this one’s not a too crazy one that could actually look good on me. I also like how neutral the color of it is, making it able to match with basically any outfit that I please. It’s a YES from me!
Mango, box bag
This kind of bags is celebrating a huge success this season. In all varieties of color, shape and size they can be found in nearly every shopping window these days. And what can I say? I’m digging it! This is only one of maaaany that are currently on my wishlist and I should really start to narrow them down… if you’re looking for other options, H&M, Asos and Boohoo for one have pretty cheap models as well!
Gorjana, Compassion Gemstone Bracelet
What is summer without cute, minimalistic jewelry? I put this on the list because it somehow reminded me of vacation with it’s little gemstones and the sheer simplicity of it. And baby pink is always a good idea anyways! 😉
