The “Neni” is definitely a place to go to. From their many (I thinks it’s about 4) locations in Vienna we chose the one at the “Naschmarkt”, which translates to “tasting market”, where you can find almost everything from falafel and hummus, to italian prosciutto and cheeses. Among the little marketshops, many young hotspot bars and restaurants have opened their doors, each one unique in its style and concept. One of them is Neni.

As already mentioned above you can find the “Neni am Naschmarkt” in a famous market place in the heart of Vienna. Their simple but modern interior with bright wood mixed with colours like white, olive and light brown doesn’t only look pretty but also inviting. It’s that sort of place which you walk by and think: “If I wanna be cool I better sit down now and have a coffee here.” That’s how cool this place is.

Without reservation you better be there super early or super late because Vienna loves Neni and that’s why it’s always full. It’s a family runned businnes and the staff is super friendly. The silent and funky music in the background just perfectly adds up to the scene.

Plus: If you like the food, they also sell various cookbooks there for you to try their recipes at home! 🙂

Neni offers mainly oriental food but I feel like they made sure that there’s something for everyone. So it’s not all hummus and falafel if that’s what you’re thinking of now! (Even if they offer a pretty large variety of hummus – but anyway!)

First off we all drank Lemonana, a sparkling and super refreshing lemonade with fresh mint. Later on we ordered a Frizzzoda, a creation of their own made of prosecco and their flavored Neni soda. Did I mention that mint was in here as well?

As for food I had the fried chicken strips in almond-batter with fries and a sweet chili dip – it was delicious (especially the fries and dip) even if nothing too special. My Mom ordered the pulled chicken salad which didn’t only look good but also tasted awesome (perfect Summerfood!).

All in all

I couldn’t complain. The waiters were friendly and the food was ready in a split second! Definitely another of my Vienna favorites and once the weather isn’t as hot as it is right now I’ll go back and maybe have myself a little breakfast there.

Stay tuned!
